FEATURESEvent Features

No time limit! A flat course and many categories

The Honolulu Triathlon has no time limit, so even beginners can aim for the finish at their own pace with peace of mind. The relatively flat course is perfect for a first triathlon. Relay, a 10K Run, and Kids races are held alongside as well.

Japanese support! Reassuring even if you're unsure about English

Japanese-language support is available on-site. Japanese-speaking staff are stationed to assist with the race briefing, event check-in, inquiries, and more. Even those unsure about English can take part with confidence.

A superb location and the finest hospitality

Above all, Hawaii's wonderful location. The sun, the sea, and the wind — everything feels made for triathletes. The main venue is Ala Moana Beach Park, conveniently accessed from Waikiki. Our staff and volunteers welcome everyone with their very best smiles.

Cheering on children's challenges! Kids & Family program

The new duathlon category "Keiki Challenge," for children aged 3 to 6, is also held. As an event dedicated to cheering on children's challenges, the whole family can enjoy it together.

Important Notes

About the Race Briefing

An on-site race briefing in Japanese is available for beginners (mandatory for first-time participants). Please also be sure to watch the race briefing video, which will be released in early May.

About On-Site Entry

On-site entry is available for the Honolulu Triathlon. Registration is accepted at the late registration tent the day before the event. Participants who enter on-site will not receive a commemorative T-shirt or other participant gifts. If any remain after the event, they may be distributed, but this cannot be guaranteed. Thank you for your understanding.

About Wearing a Wetsuit

Age-group athletes may wear a wetsuit regardless of water temperature, so there are no separate wetsuit waves as in the past. Elite athletes must follow USA Triathlon's standard rules to ensure fairness, and may not wear a wetsuit when the water temperature is above the wetsuit-prohibited threshold. A wetsuit is permitted when the water temperature is 25.5°C or below. The water temperature will be announced in the transition area on the morning of the race.

About Your Registered Age

Your age will be calculated as of December 31, 2027. (Example) Even if you are 35 at the time of entry, if you turn 36 by December 31, 2027, you will be registered as 36.
